- for known network outages remember to inform NUNOC beforehand
- see Shutting down a pool for instructions on how to announce the outage.
- reserve a long enough time window. If the outage concerns the whole dCache, add the ramp down (possibly making all the pools read only) and ramp up (starting the pools) times as well.
